Starbucks is breaking out its Christmas cups! Which means, its time again for those limited-edition drinks! In honor of this festive tradition, we count down the best drinks that you can order from Starbucks. (Some of them from the secret menu). Though some of these drinks may not be available in Bahrain, you can probably order them in the country where you’re traveling to.
1) The Nutella
Best if: you love Nutella
The Nutella is a stalwart in the secret menu and is for obvious reasons, on top of the list. It uses Cafe Misto mixed with one pump of chocolate syrup, one pump of hazelnut syrup and caramel drizzle. You can even order it as a frappucino! The Nutella just melts in your mouth, and the chocolate and caramel just adds extra gooey-ness.
2. Strawberry Lemonade
Best if: you’re looking for something light and refreshing
A refreshing drink you won’t find in the menu; ask for a strawberry lemonade with equal parts tea and lemonade. You will find this drink zingy and possibly even healthy if you go easy on the syrup. A good pick me up for the holidays when you’ve had all that food.
3. Caramel Pumpkin Spice Frappucino
Best if: you want to savor the fall season
There is still time to enjoy the Caramel Pumpkin Spice Latte! What could be better than pumpkin spice, and salted caramel in your beverage? Plus, Starbucks pulled artificial coloring from their Pumpkin Spice, making it even more awesome. This is a drink you drink to keep warm and toasty with good friends and good conversation.
4. Hazelnut Hot Chocolate
Best if: you want a non-caffeinated drink
Hot chocolate is perfect for the colder months, and this hot chocolate with a shot of hazelnut is an irresistible treat. You can also get a salted caramel version if you prefer. Jazz it up with whipped cream, caramel syrup, chocolate chips, and/or marshmallows. Then plug in your Kindle and read your favorite book for hours on end.
5. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
Best if: you would like something strong but sweet
Cold brews are strong. That plus the coldness of the drink and the sweetness of the vanilla cream add a one-two punch. A permanent Starbucks Cold Bar menu, this stellar drink is the perfect way to cool down. Small batches are made by slow-steeping coffee in cool water for two hours. The result is coffee with chocolate flavors and a hint of citrus, an intense way to spruce up your day.
6. White Chocolate Mocha
Best if: you’re a white chocolate fan
White chocolate is very, very smooth; almost decadent. With a drink like this, with a shot of espresso, you have your perfect night. Add whipped cream on top if you like living dangerously.
7. Java Chip Frappucino
Best if: you like chocolate and coffee together
This concoction is understandably one of the most popular frappucinos on the menu. That’s because they put in a crazy-delightful blend of chocolate and coffee with mocha and chocolate chips. Plus this sweet drink also has sweet whipped cream on top. Wow!
8. Starbucks Flat White
Best if: you want something simple but comforting
Sometimes, nothing beats the classics and this simple yet satisfying beverage is one such example. Warm and milky with a subtle coffee taste belying the fact that it has two shots of espresso. IT is smooth and perfect for when you just want something nice and classic.
Best if: you want coffee without a lot of frill
For the serious coffee lover, nothing much comes between them and their caffeine. This is just one step away from drinking your coffee straight up black. Consisting of two shots of espresso with hot water poured over the shots to create a light layer of deliciousness called “crema”, you can still ask for an extra shot of espresso if you wish.
